Best Paleo Broccoli Salad Recipes

Broccoli is an amazing health food – not only is it a great source of  fiber and protein, but it’s also packed with loads of other important nutrients…

This includes the likes of vitamins A, C, E, K, and B. As well as minerals such as iron, potassium, calcium, selenium and magnesium. It’s also low in calories and high in good-for-you antioxidants. No wonder it’s considered a superfood.

And although broccoli has an easily distinguishable taste, it’s pleasant rather than overpowering the way that sprouts are. And you can change up the taste of it with whatever ingredients you want to put with it.

In this article, we’re going to direct you to some of our favorite Paleo broccoli salad recipes that you can enjoy time and time again, knowing that you’re getting plenty of nutritional value, as well as great taste, whilst never veering from your Paleo regime.

Here’s our first one – we’re going to kick things off with a classic.

Michelle Rosen’s Classic Paleo Broccoli Salad

This super simple recipe is perfect for the picnic season. And it’s suitable for both the Paleo diet and the Whole30 diet.

It has some really flavorful ingredients besides the broccoli, including red onion, raisins (or dried cranberries), roasted sunflower seeds and crumbled baked bacon.

But what really makes it special is the homemade Paleo salad dressing. Using a Paleo mayonnaise as a base (either homemade or store bought), you simply add a few delicious extras, including lemon juice, onion powder, dried chives, black pepper, garlic powder, dried parsley, and salt.

Carmen’s Paleo Crunchy Bacon & Broccoli Salad with Creamy Orange Dressing

The effect is achieved by thinning out the mayonnaise base by introducing orange juice and vinegar, so that it remains creamy but without being sickly rich.

It takes a measly 12 minutes to make, and each serving is just 351 calories.

And not only is it Paleo, but it’s also dairy-free, gluten-free, grain-free, nut-free, and can be enjoyed on the Whole30 diet.
